Jan's Farewell: Reflecting on 43 Years in Dentistry

After devoting 43 years to the field of dentistry, Jan LeBeau finds herself at the threshold of a new chapter—retirement. Reflecting on her journey, she cannot help but smile at the incredible experiences and relationships forged with remarkable individuals and distinguished companies.

Before entering the dynamic landscape of Dental Service Organizations, Jan spent 15 fulfilling years as a chairside hygienist. These were years of meaningful patient interactions, where the value of oral health and the hygienist's role in fostering oral and overall health became evident.

“To all the current chairside hygienists, I encourage you to cherish the profound impact you have on patients' lives and their overall health,” reflected Jan.

She transitioned from chairside hygiene to the pharmaceutical sector, which provided her with a unique perspective on the broader healthcare landscape. It instilled an appreciation of clinical studies and their vital role in advancing health care. She then left pharmaceuticals for a medical device company. Her journey into a medical device company taught her the art of sales and the importance of clinical support.

It was in 2008 that she transitioned into the DSO space.  Jan’s venture into the pioneering realm of DSOs allowed her to set up and nurture a successful hygiene department for over 11 years before finding her way to Aspen Dental.

“The last 4 1/2 years with Aspen have been the pinnacle of my career,” said Jan. “I am grateful for the privilege of working with some of the brightest and most passionate professionals in my time at this incredible organization. The clinicians, operators, and leadership team I have had the pleasure of collaborating with have left an indelible mark on my career.”

“To my Aspen Dental family, thank you for the enriching experiences and enduring friendships. Chairside hygienists, doctors, operators, and the entire leadership team, may your dedication to patient care, business success, and professional excellence continue to shine brightly,” concluded Jan. “Wishing you all a fulfilling and successful 2024 and beyond. Until we meet again, keep smiling and making a positive impact in the world of dentistry.”
