We are proud to share that Belangie Perez-Torres, Director of Hygiene Strategy and Operations, has been elected as President-Elect of the New York Dental Hygienists’ Association (NYDHA), the statewide organization dedicated to advancing the profession of dental hygiene and improving access to oral health care for all New Yorkers. This prestigious appointment underscores Bela’s exceptional leadership and unwavering dedication to advancing the dental hygiene profession.

In her role as President-Elect, Bela will support the current NYDHA President, represent the association in professional and public forums, and help guide the Board of Directors in fulfilling strategic objectives. She will also chair the Infrastructure Committee, a position focused on evaluating and enhancing the association’s operational and organizational structures to align with its long-term goals.

In her current role at Aspen Dental, Bela leads hygiene strategy and operations across the organization’s network of more than 1,100 offices. She plays a critical role in implementing innovative solutions to support Aspen’s hygienists and elevate patient care. Her election as President-Elect reflects the expertise and leadership she demonstrates in her role at Aspen and in the broader dental hygiene community.
